The Bomber Blue material is given a max of 90kgs of force.
- Wash after every use.
- Check bit before every use.
- If there are sharp points, a light file will smooth them out
Sweet Iron
Key Features:
- Heat is applied to the sweet iron, it will turn blue at a certain temperature.
- The interaction between the horses saliva and sweet iron causes it to oxidize.
- This oxidation creates an activity which encourages salivation, this can encourage the horse to swallow, allowing for acceptance of the bit and relaxation.
- Sweet iron warms up quickly and stays the same temperature as the body.

- Wash after every use, ensure it is dry before putting away.
- Oxidation results in blue turning brown or grey, this is normal.
- When putting away in storage for a long period of time, apply a thin coat of vegetable oil, this repels water and reduces oxidization.
- If there is any build up on the mouthpiece, a kitchen scourer can be used to remove this.

Titanium
Key Features:
- Titanium is hypoallergenic, it is often used for horses that have a sensitivity to metals.
- Titanium is a light metal that is very strong for it’s weight. The weight of the mouthpiece can make a difference to the horse.
- Titanium warms up quickly and stays the same temperature as the body.

Cable

- Spring-back action of the cable hinders squeeze on bars and releases pressure quickly

Leather
- Some horses prefer this to metal as it is a natural material
- Flexible
- Is CHEWABLE (please be aware of risk)

The Leather material is a non-metal material and can be chewed.
- Wipe clean with water and a cloth after each ride, saliva will cause the leather to dry out and crack.
- Leather bits DO NOT need to soak in oil, instead wipe with a cloth dipped in vegetable oil.
Fit:
- When placed in the horse mouth the stitching needs to be facing forward, this allows the parts of the bit that sits on the tongue and bars to be a smooth surface area.
