Single Pressure Rating

The Single Pressure Rating scale looks like this:
This scale rates pressure applied per area for mouthpieces and cheekpieces. The MAX rating for pressure applied to a single area is 5 and the LEAST is 0.

What do the colours mean?

Grey: 

Utilizes no pressure, the optimum case however this is not realistic in every situation.

Green:

Registers a light pressure, applied over a large surface area to achieve a better positioning of the head.

Orange: 

Indicates that medium pressure is being applied to correct a problem or to achieve necessary control.

Red: 

Is the maximum pressure, the rider should be cautious and question this pressure.

The Total Pressure Rating scale looks like this:

This scale rates pressure applied in total for a mouthpiece or a cheekpiece. The MAX rating for pressure applied overall per mouthpiece and per cheekpiece is 15 and the LEAST is 0.

Areas that are rated for mouthpieces is each rated out of 5:

All of the above (single mouthpiece pressure ratings) are added together to get the overall Total Pressure Rating per mouthpiece. The overall pressure total amounts to 15, therefore each mouthpiece rating will be X out of 15.
