The Full Cheek will prevent pinching on the sides of the mouth, and the extended pins above and below the bit, firstly prevent the bit being pulled through the mouth and secondly aid guiding the horse’s head which is great for schooling purposes.
Bomber would recommend this fixed cheek for schooling and for those horses that drift.

Functionality
The Full Cheek pins will apply pressure to the horses’ cheeks, the pressure will back-up turning aids. The Full Cheek has a quicker application of pressure than a loose ring and a slower release of pressure.
Keepers can be used with the Full Cheek. They are recommend in most cases. The keepers keep the pins parallel to the face, which reduces the chance of them being caught up and causing an accident. The keepers do change the angle of the mouthpiece in the mouth though, which can change the action of the mouthpiece.
