Functionality
The Waterford Barrel has smooth barrels, removing the direct pressure points on the tongue (like the Standard Waterford would create). Due to several bobbles making up the mouthpiece, pressure is spread over a large surface area. Pressure descends onto the bars and due to the mouthpiece being a broken mouthpiece, it will create a squeeze on the bars – however this squeeze on the bars is less than the squeeze created by a single jointed mouthpiece.
The Waterford Barrel is available in Titanium. The Titanium material was designed as an alternative metal option to sweet iron, this metal was specifically chosen due to its hypoallergenic nature. The semi-broken, Snaffle Lock Up, has limited movement.
The flexible, Waterford Barrel, is a broken mouthpiece and will take the shape of the horses mouth.
