Watch LessonTaylor Chain

The Taylor Chain bit is has an action between a Waterford and a Snaffle. The Short length of chain allows it to take the shape of the tongue and as a result distributing the pressure across the tongue like a Waterford. The ends the mouth piece act more like a snaffle exerting pressure on the bars.
Functionality
The Taylor Chain creates pressure points on the tongue similar to the Waterford. Due to several links making up the mouthpiece, pressure is spread over a large surface area. Pressure descends onto the bars and due to the mouthpiece being a broken mouthpiece, it will create a squeeze on the bars – this squeeze on the bars is very similar to the squeeze created by a single jointed mouthpiece.
The Sweet Iron material was chosen as a metal option as it oxidizes. Oxidization encourages salivation and acceptance of the mouthpiece.
The flexible, Taylor Chain, is a broken mouthpiece and will take the shape of the horses mouth.
