The Snaffle Leather has the side of the mouthpiece covered in leather. This material will soften the pressure and it is more acceptable than metal to some horses.

Functionality
The Snaffle Leather creates a pressure point on the tongue due to the link concentrating pressure on a small surface area, this pressure point is less sharp than a general snaffle as we have designed our snaffle with an offset link, creating a less obvious pressure point. Bar pressure is softened due to the soft textured Leather material. The Snaffle is curved to soften bar pressure and squeeze on the bars, by spreading pressure over a larger surface area
Leather is sometimes better accepted by the horse as it is a natural material.
Care needs to be taken to ensure the bit is correctly looked after and the leather does not dry out and become cracked. As with all our steel components, the cable and cheek piece will be covered by our lifetime guarantee.
