Snaffle Comfy Titanium
Our Snaffle is a popular bit due to the curved mouthpiece which distributes pressure more evenly over tongue and bars and reduces the nutcracker action, the Snaffle Comfy has a more pronounced curve, further softening the squeeze on the bars. The offset centre link avoids the usual pressure point on the tongue. The nutcracker action results in the horse lifting its head, therefore offers a solution for the horse that runs with its head down.
Bombers subtle innovations make this bit far more acceptable than the traditional counterparts.
The Snaffle Comfy creates a pressure point on the tongue due to the link concentrating pressure on a small surface area, this pressure point is less sharp than a general snaffle as we have designed our snaffle with an offset link, creating a less obvious pressure point. Pressure descends onto the bars and due to the mouthpiece being a single break, it will create a squeeze on the bars – this squeeze on the bars is more than the squeeze created by a double jointed mouthpiece. The Comfy curve was designed to spread pressure that is applied to the bars over a larger surface area, this decreases overall direct bar pressure.
The Snaffle Comfy is available in Titanium. The Titanium material was designed as an alternative metal option to sweet iron, this metal was specifically chosen due to its hypoallergenic nature. The single break, Snaffle, is a broken mouthpiece and will take the shape of the horses mouth.
