Bomber’s development of the Snaffle Cable reduces the nutcracker action while the added benefit of the “spring-back” action of the cable further reduces pressure in all areas and by eliminating the link joining the sides a further pressure point is removed, thus making this softer than conventional snaffles.

Functionality
The Snaffle Cable allows the linking joint to be removed, removing the pressure point on the tongue. Pressure is spread across the bars and tongue, minimizing pressure points as overall pressure is spread over a large surface area, resulting in softer pressures across the whole mouth. The cable also allows for a “spring-back” action which reduces the squeeze on bars as folding backwards is hindered.
The Sweet Iron material was chosen as a metal option as it oxidizes. Oxidization encourages salivation and acceptance of the mouthpiece. The cable will soften over time and the mouthpiece will take the shape of the horses mouth.
