The Pivot Low Port will lighten pressure on the tongue but not fully remove the pressure. This keeps the bar pressure softer. The single, tight joint allows for independent lateral aids while maintaining the profile of the mouthpiece in the mouth. It is well suited to horses with a short smile due to the straight profile. It will encourage those horses that are too light in the contact to take more contact.

Functionality
The Pivot Low relives pressure on the tongue due to the medium sized port allowing for space for the tongue.. The Pivot Low has been shaped to fit the curve of the horses mouth, this curve also allows pressure to be spread over a large surface area. The center is closely linked with an internal pivot that does not interfere with the horses tongue or palate. Pressure descends onto the bars and due to the mouthpiece being a semi-broken mouthpiece, this Pivot link will hinder creating a squeeze on the bars – it also hinders the mouthpiece to fold backwards therefore creating little, to no squeeze on the bars. The Pivot allows for independent lateral aids. The Pivot Low is available in Sweet Iron. The Sweet Iron material was chosen as a metal option as it oxidizes. Oxidization encourages salivation and acceptance of the mouthpiece. The semi-broken, Pivot, has limited movement.
