The Irene Swivel features a broad flat-ported mouthpiece and the cheeks move independently. If properly used, this bit will encourage flexion at both the poll and lower jaw. The flat mouthpiece applies pressure to the tongue. It is a useful for strong horses that tend to lean on the bit, as it encourages lightness in the hand.

Functionality
The flat mouthpiece applies pressure to the tongue, but it is spread over a larger surface area. The swivel is softer as the mouthpiece will not rotate when contact is taken up. It is a useful for strong horses that tend to lean on the bit, as it encourages lightness in the hand.
Available in sweet iron. The Sweet Iron material was chosen as a metal option as it oxidizes. Oxidization encourages salivation and acceptance of the mouthpiece.
