The Happy Tongue Straight is a solid mouth bit which is ported to relieve tongue pressure but is not curved. This makes it slightly stronger than the curved Happy Tongue. The Happy Tongue Straight suits a horse with a short mouth/smile.
This is by far our most successful design – we recommend for all young horses and those that show tongue sensitive signs. The narrower ports have been scaled according to each width. This ensures accurate fitting over the bars and eliminates the rocking movement which occurs when the port is too wide.

Functionality
The Happy Tongue Straight offers optimal tongue relief by spreading pressure across the bars. The Happy Tongue Straight is not curved, therefore it applies slightly more bar pressure than the standard Happy Tongue. The Swivel effect allows the horse to set the port where they find it most comfortable, the horse uses its tongue to push the port slightly forward or slightly back, allowing for optimal tongue relief. The Happy Tongue Straight is a solid mouthpiece and will not create a squeeze on the bars. The Happy Tongue Straight is available in Titanium. The Titanium material was designed as an alternative metal option to sweet iron, this metal was specifically chosen due to its hypoallergenic nature. The solid, Happy Tongue Straight, has no movement. The 4 available ports have been scaled according to each width. This ensures accurate fitting over the bars and eliminates the rocking movement which occurs when the port is too wide.
