The Happy Tongue Straight is a solid mouthpiece which is ported to relieve tongue pressure it is straight and not curved. The port is set slightly forward which applies tongue pressure slightly slower than the Happy Tongue Straight and makes it slightly softer than the Happy Tongue Straight.
This is by far our most successful design – we recommend for all young horses and those that show tongue sensitive signs. The narrower ports have been scaled according to each width. This ensures accurate fitting over the bars and eliminates the rocking movement which occurs when the port is too wide.

Functionality
The Happy Tongue Straight Forward allows the port to be set at a slightly different angle in the mouth. It is not suitable for horses that have a very low palate as the top of the port could rub the palate as the mouthpiece rotates forward when contact is taken up.
The Happy Tongue Straight is a solid mouthpiece and will not create a squeeze on the bars. The Happy Tongue Straight is available in Sweet Iron. The Sweet Iron material was chosen as a metal option as it oxidizes. Oxidization encourages salivation and acceptance of the mouthpiece. The solid, Happy Tongue Straight, has no movement. The 4 available ports have been scaled according to each width. This ensures accurate fitting over the bars and eliminates the rocking movement which occurs when the port is too wide.
