The Ultra-Comfy shape is such that it follows the contour of the horse’s tongue. The centre elliptical joints have been double locked to ensure that the angle over the tongue remains correct, even when the reins are taken up, it retains the individual lateral aids.

Functionality
The Elliptical Ultra Comfy Lock Up creates a pressure point on the tongue due to the center component concentrating pressure on a small surface area. The double-lock on either side of the Elliptical allows the mouthpiece to retain the correct shape in the horses mouth. Pressure descends onto the bars and due to the mouthpiece being a semi-broken mouthpiece, it will hinder creating a squeeze on the bars – the extra piece of metal that has been added prevents the mouthpiece from folding backwards therefore creating little, to no squeeze on the bars. The Ultra Comfy shape, along with the Lock Up will soften bar pressure applied. The Sweet Iron material was chosen as a metal option as it oxidizes. Oxidization encourages salivation and acceptance of the mouthpiece. The semi-broken, Elliptical Ultra Comfy Lock Up, has limited movement.
