Elliptical Lock Up Round Twist
The Elliptical Lock Up removes the nut cracker action or pinch of the conventional three piece, meaning less pressure on the bars. The Elliptical Lock Up is therefore a softer option, than a conventional Elliptical, although stronger than a control plate.
The Round Twist creates more pressure points on the bars making it a stronger bit.
The Elliptical Lock Up Round Twist creates a pressure point on the tongue due to the center component concentrating pressure on a small surface area. Pressure descends onto the bars and due to the mouthpiece being a semi-broken mouthpiece, it will hinder creating a squeeze on the bars – the extra piece of metal that has been added prevents the mouthpiece from folding backwards therefore creating little, to no squeeze on the bars. The twists in the mouthpiece will create pressure points on the tongue that descend onto the bars. The round twist is slightly softer than the square twist as the twists are rounded. This specialization does apply a great amount of pressure on the tongue and bars as each curve does create an individual pressure point where it lands. The Elliptical Lock Up Round Twist is available in Sweet Iron. The Sweet Iron material was chosen as a metal option as it oxidizes. Oxidization encourages salivation and acceptance of the mouthpiece. The semi-broken, Elliptical Lock Up Round Twist, has limited movement.
