Watch LessonElliptical Dressage Control Lock Up Titanium
The Elliptical Dressage spreads pressure over the tongue. The mouthpiece is curved Comfy to soften the bar pressure. The mouth pieces and lozenge are ground flat to distribute the pressure evenly over tongue and bars, which together with the offset links further reduce pressure points. Allowing for a more accepted and relaxed contact.
The Lock Up removes the nut cracker action or pinch of the conventional three piece, meaning less pressure on the bars. The Elliptical Dressage Lock Up is therefore a softer option, than a conventional Elliptical Dressage, although stronger than a control plate.
Functionality
The Elliptical Dressage Control has a slightly longer lozenge than a Elliptical Dressage. The longer lozenge allows pressure to be spread over a larger surface area on the tongue. The lozenge has also been flattened on the underside to create a greater surface area to which pressure is applied, this will soften tongue pressure. Due to the center component spreading pressure over a larger surface area, tongue pressure softer as an Elliptical Dressage. Pressure descends onto the bars and due to the mouthpiece being a semi-broken mouthpiece, it will hinder creating a squeeze on the bars – the extra piece of metal that has been added prevents the mouthpiece from folding backwards therefore creating little, to no squeeze on the bars.
The Elliptical Dressage Control mouthpiece is also curved comfy, which will further soften pressure on the bars. The Comfy curve was designed to spread pressure that is applied to the bars over a larger surface area, this decreases overall direct bar pressure.
The Elliptical Dressage Control is available in Titanium. The Titanium material was designed as an alternative metal option to sweet iron, this metal was specifically chosen due to its hypoallergenic nature. The double break, Elliptical Dressage Control, is a flexible mouthpiece and will take the shape of the horses mouth.
