Watch LessonBuster Roller Cherry Roller

The Buster Roller link is shortened which increases bar and tongue pressure making this mouthpiece sharper than conventional link bits. The increased pressure on the bar will lift the head and the roller will increase pressure on the tongue bringing the chin in. Best suited for a horse with a low head carriage and which leans on the bit.
The Cherry Rollers roll in the horse’s mouth reducing the likelihood of the bit being held in the horse’s teeth. They are constructed tightly so there is no chance of pinching. When pulling on the reins, the rollers allow the bit to move along the bars of the horse’s jaws as opposed to rubbing.
Bomber recommends this mouth piece as an alternative to the Barrie, it is kinder and achieves a similar result. Recommended for horses that are built downhill.
Functionality
The Buster Roller Cherry Roller creates a direct pressure point on the tongue. The tongue pressure is direct and unforgiving, center component is a smooth roller that concentrates pressure on a small surface area. Pressure descends onto the bars and due to the mouthpiece being a double break, it will create a squeeze on the bars -this squeeze on the bars is less than the squeeze created by a single jointed mouthpiece but more than most double jointed mouthpieces.
The Cherry Rollers will increase pressure applied to the bars as the individual rollers will create pressure points on the bars. These rollers are movable reduce the chances of the bit being held in the horses’ teeth.
The Buster Roller is available in Sweet Iron. The Sweet Iron material was chosen as a metal option as it oxidizes. Oxidization encourages salivation and acceptance of the mouthpiece. The double break, Buster Roller Cherry Roller, is a flexible mouthpiece and will take the shape of the horses mouth.
