Bomber Blue Mullen
The Mullen distributes pressure evenly over all the structures of the mouth, while this avoids pressure points, it does make the Mullen a fairly strong bit. The material used allows the bit to remain light and it encourages salivation. It is particularly well suited to horses that object to metal mouth pieces.
This is Bomber’s version of the vulcanite, it is lighter and stronger and would be recommended for the older horse.
The Bomber Blue Mullen applies pressure across the tongue and bars. Pressure applied to the tongue is direct and constant. The Bomber Blue Mullen has been shaped to fit the curve of the horses mouth, this curve also allows pressure to be spread over a large surface area. Due to the mouthpiece being a solid, there will be no squeeze on the bars. The Bomber Blue material was designed as a non-metal option as sometimes horses prefer non-metal as it is less foreign in their mouths. There is a metal insert running through the mouthpiece to ensure the mouthpiece cannot be bitten in half. The Bomber Blue material is not flexible.
